Home Exchange in Tewantin

This is our last (for this year) national long weekend in Australia.  We have family celebrations in Noosa so have taken a house swap in nearby Tewantin to allow us to attend the celebrations.

Home exchanges are not only for long vacations, they can be excellent to undertake as an alternative to booking hotel accommodation when attending functions away from home.

Tewantin is just under two hours drive from our home city of Brisbane.  The home we are exchanging into is large, opulent and very comfortable.  It has a hot tub, swimming pool and its own private full sized tennis court as well as luxury living inside and out.

Tewantin is one of the original towns that were established in Queensland, and dates back to the mid-1850s. Its original claim to fame was being a shipping port for the logging industry. It was also a fishing village. Nearby, set in the bush surrounding mount Tinbeerwah, is the Tewantin forest reserve, which is completely protected and therefore offers some amazing Australian wildlife and plants. We are loving exploring the local area.

I cannot sing the praises highly enough of house swapping. I just love it!
