Ephesus and Troy

Our present home in Izmir is very close to the ancient towns of Ephesus and Troy.  Most people know the story of the wooden horse of Troy.  There are a few copies of the horse around however we found the ruins at Ephesus absolutley amazing.  They were stunning and included Greek Byzantine and Roman settlements, most in B.C.  There is an enormous amphitheatre which held 24,000 people as well as a smaller amphitheatre and many more ruins. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Turkey. You can read full background here
